Advanced Mobile Location Centre (A-MLC)
The Mobile Arts Advanced Mobile Location Centre (A-MLC) is a state-of-the-art combined location and presence server. The turn-key location server functionality incldues both GMLC and SMLC functionality, and can be used in all GSM, UMTS and CDMA networks.
The A-MLC provides both network-based, terminal-based, probe-based and hybrid location methods to provide reliable, accurate location and presence information to applications.
Location Methods
The location methods supported by the A-MLC include:
3GPP (GSM, UMST):
- CAMEL Cell Global Identity (CGI) based location
- LCS Enhanced CGI (CGI, TA and NMR/RTT) based location
- LCS Assisted-GPS (A-GPS) based location
- Probe-Based Enhanced CGI (CGI, TA and NMR/RTT) based location
Open Mobile Alliance (GSM, UMTS, CDMA, CDMA 2000):
- Secure User Plane (SUPL) Enhanced CGI (CGI, TA and NMR/RTT) based location
- SUPL A-GPS based location
