The Mobile Arts Mobile Location Centre suite enables rapid and accurate location of mobile phones. It supports all GSM, UMTS and CDMA networks, including multi-vendor networks.

Together with global and local Content and Application Partners, Mobile Arts provide end to end turn-key location solutions that enable both governmental (Emergency Call Location, Public Alert and Legal Intercept) and commercial applications. Commercial applications exist for most venues of human activity such as Enterprise Solutions (Resource Management), Practical Solutions (Local Information/Directory Search, Transport & Navigation), Social (Friend Finders/Chat/Photo tagging/Information sharing, Family Security, Games).

The Mobile Arts Mobile Location Centre (MLC) Suite consists of:

  • The Mobile Arts Proxy Mobile Location Centre (XMLC), compliant with OMA LES recommendations, provides a single point of contact for applications. It allows for inclusion of location information in messages bound for applications and for application triggered mobile location. Anonymous address generation and translation removes privacy concerns and makes unrestricted use of 3rd party applications possible.

  • The Mobile Arts Gateway Mobile Location Centre (GMLC) implements 3GPP GSM/UMTS LCS location and CAMEL PSI/ATI location standards as well as OMA SUPL A-GPS location, location caching and Location Method selection functions.

  • The Mobile Arts Serving Mobile Location Centre (SMLC) handles A-GPS reference data import and supports a wide range of commercially proven location technologies for network-based, termin-al-based, probe-based and hybrid location methods, such as:

    • 3GPP GSM and UMTS LCS Enhanced Cell-Id Location (GMLC and SMLC)

    • 3GPP GSM and UMTS LCS Control Plane A-GPS Location (GMLC and SMLC/SAS)

    • GMS/UMTS probe-based location
